Mermaid on the “Whole” Shell

Published by at 11:20 pm under Our Craft Lounge,SCS Challenges

Okay …. maybe the title won’t make any sense until you see the card …  I understand!

~

Actually, it all started last month during the Great American Scrapbook Convention.  Each night after the convention, we would enjoy dinner & chatter at various restaurants.  One night included Pappadeaux’s … awesome seafood.  Since my ‘better half’ was also working the show, it seemed like a great opportunity for a bit of a “date” while we awaited group seating.   That’s where the “half shells” came in.

So, it seems a little natural to place this cute little mermaid from Our Craft Lounge atop a beautiful “full” oyster shell of the most productive kind!

I know … pretty simple again.   The Basic Grey papers seem to be busy enough, so I’ve only added Multiliner doodles, buttons and pearls.  This was actually inspired by the featured stamper challenge, FS179, at SCS this week.     If you’re looking for more inspiration, you’re most welcome to check out the challenge and get stampin’!

Oh … before I add the card recipe & sign off …. I thought you might like to see the rest of the ‘oysters on the half’ story ….

I think the photo pretty much says it all!  😉

Thanks so much for peekin’ in to say, “Hi” today!  We’re getting a bit “melty” in the humidity here, so the keywords should be “Stay Cool!”
