It’s Your Birthday!!!!
I’m about to “date” myself here … but that title reminds me of a fabulous song by the Beatles! Honestly … I did not have that in mind when I first created this card for the OCLDT24 challenge. The thought has only come to mind as I write my newest blog entry!
Can you imagine the ultimate task that this little ant has taken upon himself to carry this orangey popscicle to share with his family?!?
Whew! What a seemingly thankless task! I’m pretty sure the rest of the ants will simply scarf up the orange goodness, then scitter away for their private self-indulgence ….. All while our fearless ant here has attempted to share as a good-samaritan-ant should do!
The sketch was inspired by this week’s OCLDT24 challenge. Isn’t it a great sketch?? So fun to play with!
Alas, the majority of my Our Craft Lounge team-mates are in Chicago right now, savoring the goodies found only at CHA … Craft & Hobby Association’s Summer CHA presentation of the newest, bestest innovations in the craft industry at this time! Most of the new products being premiered at Summer CHA will be available to you & I (as consumers) in about 3 months. Yes … we must wait! Argggghhhhhh!
In the meantime, here’s my sample for this week’s Our Craft Lounge Friday Sketch Challenge, OCLDT24. Now I’ve also ventured out into the “orange” palette. Some of you might have noticed that this color range is “not” in my comfort zone …… Yep! That would be a correct observation! Alas, my so-sweet friend, Joan Ervin, has issued her Dare to Get Dirty Challenge, DTGD10joanervin, being based on the color “orange”! Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!
Now, darlin’ Joan, you must know that I do adore you … as here is my “orange” entry for your fabboo DTGD10 challenge! Wooooooooooooohooooooooooooooo!! LOL
Have I left anything out?!? I hope not! If I have, please just tell me, and I will do my best to correct it right here! It has been a pleasure to share this latest creation with you. If you’ve found some sort of inspiration here, I would so appreciate hearing from you … as already mentioned, my stampin’ buds are gathering in the Windy City of Chicago, while I’m trying to keep the OCL-fires a’burnin here at home! LOL

How cute, Bev! That poor popsicle looks like me. Melting in the heat, lol. It’s pretty sad when Hotlanta feels just like Houston. I love the colors, the sparkle and your fabulous pleated ribbon.
