Sketch Challenge!! OCLDT

Published by at 7:26 am under Cuttlebug Fun,Our Craft Lounge

Welcome to the newest weekend!  Yay!

And with the weekend comes the OCL Friday Sketch Challenge …  everyone’s invited!

This week’s sketch is a combination of two of my favorite card elements … a square card … plus circles!  Yeah, right up my alley.  So, is it a “challenge” for you, or is it a “comfort zone”?  I’d love to know!  If you play along with us, you have the chance of winning some new Our Craft Lounge stamps!  Just add your link to Mr. Linky at the OCL Blog … and you could be in the winner’s ‘circle’!    😉

I know … typically the reminders for breast exams are showered upon us in October .. and I can appreciate that.  In fact, I have a sweet friend who has battled the disease and has ‘won’ … but I also know that she never truly feels okay.   So why should we only think about breast exams during 1 month of our lives?   Please just consider this as just an extra reminder for all of us.  Maybe like an extra ‘commercial’ in our day?   I know .. I’m a pro at ignoring ‘commercials’ …. fast-forward, go to the kitchen, pet the kitties, check emails, on-&-on.   If just one lady sees this and schedules a mammogram, then my card has served a great purpose, in my opinion.     Here’s to a great weekend for all of us!

This is a beautiful card in more ways than one. It prompts me to do the same for my girlfriends here in Georgetown, TX. Postage stamps costs so little for a huge reminder.

  3. What an awesome card and cause! I agree with you 100%, no make that 200%! I’ve battled it now twice and know how important those checks-ups are. Glad you tell everyone about it in such a beautiful way!

I agree with you here Bev… I get SO burned out in October of it being shoved in my face that I tune out completely… it should be thought of Daily… my mom is a 23 year Breast Cancer survivor, and boy but it wasn’t as “common” back in 1987….

I have always said, If I ever get a lump I will know immediately as I’m pretty darn boobless!!!! **sigh**

Cancer is rampant in our lives and your bright fun and funky card is a GREAT reminder!!!!!

    Hugs Bev!

Wonderful card in so many ways! I love the patterns, papers and colors you used. My sister just had a bilateral tissue replacement surgery done for both of her breasts this past Monday. Thank you for bringing awareness to this issue.
