Life’s Melody!

Published by at 8:09 am under Rubbernecker,SCS Challenges

This card features one of my all-time favorite stamps.

Background:  I adore music … and often design to simply instrumental music, whether it be classical, Christian, popular artists, movie scores … instrumentals enable me to “ignore” the lyrics, soften the sounds, and “create”.   Much of my younger life was centered around music, in Middle School & High School Band, piano lessons, playing piano occasionally in Church, Choir, etc.   Although the only time my piano gets the “luv” these days is from my precious “grands” …   I still & will always love piano, guitar, harp, and more.

Perhaps I’ve explained my initial desire to have this stamp, eh?   This week’s SC296 sketch challenge at SCS seemed to be just the right time to bring out the Violin for more stamping fun.   I’ve stamped it atop some 7 Gypsies paper, while layering it atop a blend of shimmered Kraft C/S, more 7 Gypsies, and also some new-to-me October Afternoon paper.   The crushed blossom was also made from another bit of the musical score from October Afternoon.

I’ve shimmered the main image and the dry pressure embossed Kraft cardstock with some gifted Glimmer Mist … oh what a beautiful effect it makes, although it’s truly best seen IRL.

Hopefully, you’ve found something here to inspire your own creativity today.  If so, I’ve met my goal … if not, I’d love to hear how to help you more!   Thank you for your visits & comments, indeed!   Hoping to see you here again very soon!    😉
