Candy Monster on the Move!

Published by at 6:27 pm under Our Craft Lounge,SCS Challenges

Oh dear!   The annual candy action is coming up this weekend .. … hard to believe!   Here’s a card I made back in September that simply never got blogged.   Whew!  Just in time for the candy stashing!

It’s always such fun to see the little ones with their smiles & their fun costumes.   Generally the only ones at my door are the Grands, just due to the country street …. much better candy ‘action’ in town and at the various festivals.  🙂     I know for sure that I want a picture at the doorway this year … a little pumpkin tells me that 3 of the Grands “plus” their parents will be in costume.  Eeeeeeeek!   My DD was on a very busy ‘costume countdown’ over the weekend, sewing up a storm of family costumes.   I remember sewing up some myself when “they” were the little kids … haha.

This card was made for the SCS monthly DD challenge in September, DDSKETCH0910  + CT0910 .  Seemed just right for this little trick-or-treater in his wagon.    I’ve used a few varied techniques for this one.  After coloring the image, I airbrushed the shading around the sentiment & image.   Hand-stitching enabled me to gather the ribbon, while machine-stitching can be found along layer edges.   A little bit of paper-piercing was used along the scallops.

I hope you like it!   I’ll be back this week with more to share.   Thanks a bunch for your visit!
