Always … Friends!
Welcome 2011! Happy New Year to each of you!
Although I started this card in 2010, I didn’t have the chance to edit the photos & post until now … hence, this project the spans the years. 😉
Friday brought the weekly Our Craft Lounge sketch challenge over at “The Lounge“. It’s a fun one, so all of you challenge-lovers will want to join in this week & share your creations. Just check out the easy guidelines within the post and play along with us .. you might even win some free new stamps! In the meantime, you can also click on the sample photo to get an easier peek at the sketch right now if you like. I enjoy creating square cards, and started mine out as a 5.25″ square. This size fits my supply of square envies, and offers a nice sized palette overall.
The rose layers are dry pressure embossed with the C’bug Swiss Dots folder. I’ve paper-pierced the image layer and the printed base layer as well. I had considered using a ribbon bow, but opted for some of my metallic cord for a smaller touch that coordinates with the mailbox.
This one could be sent to friends, or even saved for Valentines, but I really like the idea of being able to use my sets for ‘more’ than just one particular reason … versatility adds to the fun!
I appreciate your visit, and hope your first weekend in this brand spankin’ new year is wonderful! It’s still pretty c-c-c-cold here, but … it’s January after all. Guess this is to be expected. 😉 Happy 2011, everyone!
