A Furry Challenge * Outlines!

Welcome to a brand new week!   And of course, being ‘Monday’, we have a new Outlines design challenge for the week … Let’s use a cat or dog image, i.e. Furry Friends!

The current ‘canine’ in my life actually belongs to my daughter & family.  But I do get “temporary visitation’ from time to time, including this week … along with his 3 little ‘humans’ just to keep him “in charge” … LOL !

I’m using parts of the Split Layering Collage – Dog (I-1063) for the main image and also for the middle image in the center section of this triple-layer card.  I’ve cut and reassembled the elements from the stamp that best suited my card style.   Essentially, I used a couple of elements on the front, and a different segment in the middle.   The topmost layer uses the “To err is human …” (B-1081) stamp.  Isn’t that an excellent sentiment for the dog-lovers in your life?

This particular triple-tier slider card style was featured in the resources section of Splitcoaststampers this week, so I thought I would give it a try since I had a variety of elements available in this collage stamp.   As you know, I do like to add dimension when possible, so this card incorporates a bit of paper-tole on the dog.  Multi-stamping, coloring, & cutting are the only things required for paper-tole … plus a bit of dimensional tape.  😉   My primary embellishments are the pull tab on top and front-side twill … both representing a dog’s leash.

I’m including a few extra views to enable you to get a full idea of this card style.  Just click on the small photos for an enlargement.  The final photo shows the card as it is received, “closed”.

I hope you enjoy my project today!   It’s busy, busy here this week, as my DD and her hubby are on a ski trip, while I’m with the 3 Grands.   Hoping for smooth days ahead!  LOL   Hope to see you here again soon.   Thanks so much for your encouragment & thoughts.
