Howdy …. in Lots of Layers!
Welcome to the brand new week! This week the Outlines team has been challenged to use “Lots of Layers” on our projects, and also to use “Smooch” shimmer as well.
I’m using the Split Layering Collage – Howdy (H-1061) stamp today. In order to pop up so many of the varied elements, I stamped the entire image 3 times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Some of the elements are only popped up with one extra layer, while the pottery, coyote, and “Howdy” were colored 3 times, with 2 popped up layers for even more dimension.
This was my first experience with Smooch paints (Apple Green) . It’s so easy to use, and the applicator tip allows for very small amounts if you like. The color & shimmer are lovely in person! I’ve added the Smooch to the pottery, cactus spines, coyote decor, and on the sentiment + surrounding decor.
The background texture utilizes a Cuttlebug herringbone embossing folder, while the rick rack also adds a similar texture in its weave.
You’re invited to check out the blogs of my design team colleagues for even more creative inspiration as well: Jeanne Streiff, Jenny Gropp, Lisa Silver, Robin Kirkpatrick, & Sandy Hulsart. I hope you like today’s project! Thanks so much for your moments here as well as your thoughts. Here’s to a great week for each of you!
