Blog Hoppin’ with Inky Antics!!

Welcome to the Inky Antics Box & Bag Blog Hop!   It starts today and ends on Sunday, May 1st at midnight Central time.  We invite you to visit each DT members’ blog and leave feedback about their creation.   Three  (Yes 3!) winners will be drawn at random to receive one of our template stamps.  The more you comment, the better your chances are to win. (Limit one comment per blog, please).  The winners’ names will be announced on the Inky Antics  blog next Monday (May 2), so remember to stop back and see if you’ve won.

Perhaps, you’ve come from Michelle Pearson’s blog.    And if not, please be sure to visit Michelle’s for yet another chance to win!      The more blogs you visit & comment, the better your chances of winning … I wish you the best!  Winning is so much fun!!

I’ve used the Tall Bag Template combined with Inky’s Spa Turtle Stamp Set for this Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, relaxing gift idea.    ((((Shhhhhh … but truly, when I repackaged the bath salts from the container to the cello bag for the gift … I’ve been happily enjoying the “scent” of this gift ever since! ))))   Simply stamp the Tall Gift Bag onto your chosen cardstock, then cut along the solid lines.   Next, I used an embossing folder to add some bubbly texture, before scoring along the dotted lines.   Add red-line tape to the flap edges as visible on the templates.  Score the dotted lines, and now it is so easy to fold up into a darling bag for whatever treats you might imagine!   Tex’s Tip:  I used my craft knife to remove the built-in “tag” from atop the stamped template image, knowing that I didn’t need a “closure” for my gift bag.  I love the versatility of this template stamp!

For some added “bubbly” shimmer, I used Perfect Pearls Powder mixed in water in a Mini-Mister … spritz this onto your cardstock, allow to dry …. and Voila!  A Pearly shimmer atop your matte cardstock!   I love the way it adds a sense of “shimmery” bubbles to the overall concept.

And who can resist glitter?   Okay .. I know .. a few of you have no use for the glitz or the perceived mess it can bring.   Well, I do love a bit of glitz, and I don’t mind the cleanup.   Sooooo, what bubble bath would be complete without sparkly bubbles?   See!   Glitter is simply “necessary” in some instances!   😉

Now this might seem like such a “maybe someday” giftable, but how about those upcoming gifts for teachers?   Having been a Kindergarten & First Grade Teacher myself, I promise you that gifts revolving around relaxation & comfort are “always” appreciated and remembered!   😉

Please feel welcome to visit my Design Team Colleagues’ blogs along your way today.   Leaving a comment at each blog will increase your chances of winning!   I hope to see your name amongst the winners!!   Crystal Irwin, Trudy Sjolander, Michelle Pearson, Tex Gerard    (Hey!  That’s Me!  Thanks for being here!),  Jovi Kloess ,  Debbie Fisher
