Welcome Gnome! * Touch Twin Challenge!

~   ~

Howdy, everyone!   Back again with a new Touch Twin Markers challenge for you this week!   Our challenge is “In the Garden” …. which means you are invited to create any project you like that includes coloring (with any media for now) and something to do with gardens.

This week, the ShinHan ARTisans are all using the same gnome image from the Gina K. Designs stamp set, “Gnome One Like You”, which just happens to be illustrated by our very own team member, Tami Mayberry!   We invite you to check out our Touch Twin Challenge Blog for complete details on sharing your challenge entry with us as an opportunity to win free Touch Twin Markers!   You’ll also find another inspirational card showing a different idea for using the Touch Twin Makers with this adorable stamp set.  So all of you crafty gardeners, go forth, create, and share!

As soon as I received this set from Gina K. Designs, I knew I was going to love it.   The images are just the right size for lots of combinations, easy to cut out if you wish, and just plain fun to stamp & color.  Once I started stamping, I really had to choose which stamps were going to be the stars of my card, because I knew I wouldn’t actually use “all” of them at once.   (Usually I’ve made that choice by looking at/trimming an entire set .. and maybe adding one extra stamp as I go through my play/planning process.)

Each image was stamped & colored, then trimmed out for popping up on dimensional foam tape.   I love adding dimension, and this set is full of opportunities for doing those “lifts”.  And hey! I haven’t even used ribbon (DH will always point out how much we stampers rely on ‘ribbon’ ..) so I should probably be sure to run this one by him just to see hiswhat’s this? face.   LOL

These are the ShinHan Touch Twin Markers used on this creation.   As always, click on the smaller images for a larger view.

I’m also including a “color map” to indicate the areas in which those same markers were used/blended for this particular item.   Thanks to those of you who email to comment or to ask marker questions.   I’m happy to share whatever information I have that is helpful to you.

Many thanks for spending a few of your moments here today!   I hope you found something inspirational and/or helpful while you were here!

If you’re looking for this week’s Rubbernecker Challenge post, please check it out here. Entry comments are accepted through Thursday, November 17.   The winner will be announced on Friday, November 18.
