Color Throwdown, CTD184!

Welcome Wednesday!   That means it’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown!   This week’s hostess is the so-talented Barbara Anders!   She’s brought some terrific colors for us this week for sure.    Get ready to join in the fun and play along!

This week’s colors are:

I’m just completely delighted to be playing along with the Color Throwdown team this month as their guest, although time is flying by in a huge hurry!   I had to smile over the inspiration photo … takes me back to favorite times as an adolescent and also as an adult.   I cannot tell a lie …  “fishing” has always been an activity that I love.   In fact, I mentioned the need for  ‘licenses’ to my better half within the past 10 days, seriously.   (Bet’cha that I’ll have to repeat that comment at least once more, too.) 😉

I happen to have some fun fishy stamps, so I brought them out to play for this week’s throwdown.  The circles of the plates on the inspiration photo gave me a start on the card shape, but it morphed into the square once the layers & ribbon were added.  The celery base card is actually shimmered with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, but alas, it’s lost in the artificial lighting setup.  (We’re blessed with rain, rain, rain here this week!) My card was actually started a few days ago, but was still in pieces when I had some oral surgery done this week.  While thankful for the anesthesia, it took a little longer to ‘clear the daze’ so I could get back to completing the project assembly.   Seems all was not lost, as that’s when I decided to cut the sentiment into separate “fish tail” tags.

Now I’m sure you’ll want to visit the blogs of all the fabby team members of the Color Throwdown … so here they are for your further inspiration!   Pssssssssst!  Be sure to join in the fun and play along in the challenge this week as well!
