Inky’s Summer HoneyPOP Blog Hop!
Howdy y’all!!
Welcome to Inky Antics’ Summer HoneyPOP Blog Hop! If you started at Trudy’s blog, you’re on the right blog hoppin’ track. If not, you’ll want be sure to go back to see True’s inspiration too. 😉
For this ‘Z-fold’ card, I used “Just Peachy“, drawn by artist Darby New, along with 11103SC “Beautiful Borders HoneyPOP Set“ designed by Michelle Pearson, and an Apricot Honeycomb Paper Pad. Pssssst! I recently had the pleasure of working again along with the darling Darby New while Inky was here in Arlington, TX, for the Great American Scrapbook Convention. What a talented sweetheart!

Here’s a look at the Z-fold from a better angle, to help you visualize the true opening of my card. (Click on the photo for a larger view.)

Once you open up the card, you’ll see the HoneyPOP surprise!
That adorable border adhered to the lower border of the card is made by using the Beautiful Borders HoneyPOP set along with the Apricot Honeycomb paper pad that was used to create the beautiful ‘peach’ on the inside. The leaves were stamped & colored with my Touch Twin markers, before cutting out and adhering atop the honeycomb ‘peach’. Then I stamped the leaf stamp again randomly on both of the inside flaps with inks to match the cardstocks.
In very recent years, I’ve been blessed to locate some of my ‘birth family’, and have had the sweet privilege of meeting three of my cousins and their delightful mother, my Aunt. When I first started working on this card, I began to feel that she would possibly enjoy it. So I’m hoping it brings a smile to her face very soon. 😉
BLOG HOP NOTES: The blog hop starts today and ends on Sunday, June 24th at midnight Central time. Please visit each DT members’ blog to view their projects and leave a comment for each designer. The more you comment, the better your chances are to win. (Limit one comment per blog, please). TWO people’s names will be drawn at random to receive a HoneyPOP prize pack. The winners’ names will be announced on the Inky Antics blog next Monday, so remember to stop back and see if you’ve won. 😉
